BA in Spanish and Latin american literature from Hendrix College with a strong background in biology and chemistry (through molecular genetics and biochemistry respectively). Currently enrolled at the University of Amsterdam for a Master's in English literature, linguistics and education (2017-18).
Experience
I have dedicated my professional life to teaching, and I have enjoyed being able to promote learning and growth with students of many ages and backgrounds. I am always looking to learn something new, with literature, popular science and languages being a few of my passions. I believe education to be both a gift and a responsibility, and I am always eager to share and learn new things with my students. Having lived and taught abroad for many years, I have the experience and the disposition to be an asset as a tutor and educator. I was also able to complete three years as a full-time personal tutor to a young Dutch student in Argentina, and I am very proud of my time working with him towards his academic, personal and sporting goals. I have experience teaching in the South Korean, American, Dutch (VWO/MBO/HBO) and I.B. school systems, as well as extensive tutoring experience in the SAT entrance exam. I can speak English, Spanish and Dutch and believe in a student-centered approach in constructing educational goals.
