Experience
I assisted in teaching theatre and dramatics at the Swan Youth Theatre in Worcester. This involved helping young people individually and in groups to improve their confidence and stage acting. We would read plays and discuss close readings of them, as well as work on writing plays as a group. The teaching of playwriting also allowed for encouraging young people to direct such productions and demonstrate the work that occurs backstage. This role allowed me to combine my passions for writing, reading literature and the theatre, and I learned so much from this teaching experience.
