Education

I am a UK Law Graduate (University of Exeter, Law LL.B First Class (hons) with Dean`s Commendation and three awards - Sept 2007 - July 2011). I completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, Bloomsbury September 2012 - June 2013. Previously, I obtained 3 A-levels, each at A grade.

Experience

I am currently a trainee solicitor. I have privately tutored law and study technique to five A-Level students (16-18 yrs), 25+ undergraduate students (at various stages of their LL.B, or law modules in other programmes) and three adult learners (degree level). Other areas I offer (in addition to those named above) include: Sports and IP Human Rights The English Legal System (and English Legal History) Use of academic commentary Previously, before embarking on my training contract, I taught A-level and BTEC law full-time for a year in the UK. In this post I was in charge of 4 classes and was module co-ordinator for the Family Law unit of the BTEC course. I am also an experienced marker of GCSE/A-Level scripts and am familiar with the level required at this stage of study.In addition to tutoring, I have previously worked in business development at the University of Law, visiting schools and universities to deliver taster sessions as well as at OCR (UK exam board) as a law examiner and reviewer, where I continue to mark GSCE and A-level law scripts. I do not see tutoring as a way to lecture people. I aim to develop the overarching perspective towards a subject necessary to succeed at different levels of study.
