PhD candidate in theoretical physics, expecting to defend the thesis in the coming months. The thesis focuses on modifications to general relativity. MSc in theoretical physics, completed in 2011 at Utrecht University. The MSc thesis dealt with a theory of quantum gravity. Undergraduate studies in physics engineering, completed in 2009 in Lisbon.
Experience
Experience as private tutoring for high school physics, mathematics and chemistry, which I did for over four years in Portugal. Experience as a teaching assistant for three years at Radboud university. There, where I was an assistant for a Master's level course in general relativity. The reason I started to tutor and want to keep on doing it is that while learning physics at the university, I discovered that I have as much a passion for teaching as I do for learning.
